Why we're building VERSA Contractor
A note from our team.
Most small contractors find out what a job really made after it's closed. Hours are on paper, receipts are in the truck, and the full picture shows up at the end of the month, when the accountant puts it together. That works for taxes. It comes too late to fix a job that's losing money, and the next bid gets priced the same way.
VERSA Contractor is our answer to that one problem. We're building it to put labor, materials and expenses next to the contract while the job is still running, and to show every job in green, yellow or red. We started with job costing because almost every other decision in a contracting business depends on knowing which jobs make money.
We're a small company in Nebraska City, and we also build software, websites and brand identities for other businesses. VERSA Contractor is open to pilot contractors now. They use it free for 60 to 90 days, talk with us once a week, and reach the people who write the code directly. What they tell us decides what we build next.
